Mixtape | July 2024
We've turned the corner to the second half of the year, and July is my favorite time here in Massachusetts because I get a chance to get to the coast, swim amongst the sharks of Cape Cod, and enjoy more leisure time. More leisure time means more time for music, spending long long days in Newport at the folk and jazz festivals or just munching down a lobster roll or two.
As for new music, there's plenty of it, and this month I've got near 2 hours of new songs from all over. My highlights are "Too Relaxed" from Outside Air & Sure Sure, the return of shanty style Decemberists with "The Reapers" and a killer new track from Japandroids in "Chicago."
Oh did I mention Misty is back? Please do check that new Father John Misty single "I Guess Time Just Makes Fools of Us All."
Take some time to give it a listen, and let us know your favorite tracks, and let us know what gems we missed.
